I turned this piece of Maple to display the Beauty of a Natural Edge on a bowl. Many look at this and think it is an oval bowl, but that is just a desception of differing heights of the sides. After turning and sanding I went to the Piercing bench and started to embellish the ends of the bowl. I added some dye to parts of the piercing as a highlite. Next came 7 coats of Acrylic laquer finish.
The bowl is 10 1/4" in Diameter, 3 1/4" Tall and weighs 7 oz.
