This wood is from Brazil where it grows as small to medium-size trees. It is very hard-wood and will last for generations, making it a great heirloom. This is a smaller bowl that has many possibilities for you to use in your home or office. It is a great place to put keys when you come home or hold your wrapped candy in your favorite room. Many use similar bowls in their bedroom or bathroom for a place to put your recently removed jewelry. In your office, it can hold to pesky little paperclips. Heartwood color ranges from pale to golden yellow, darkening only slightly with age. Sapwood is a pale yellow/white. Commonly referred to as Pau Amarello— which is Portuguese for “yellow wood” very few kinds of wood are as consistent and vibrant a yellow as Yellowheart. The wood is also sometimes sold as Brazilian Satinwood, though it is not to be considered true satinwood.
