This came from a very old piece of Elm-wood. It Had many voids that would have created a vase with some very large openings. For these voids, I turned to Epoxy and some colors, added for interest. I made a container that would hold the vase. Next, it was time for the color mixture and adding it to the vase. After filling the container with the wood and epoxy, I placed it into a pressure pot under 60 psi. 24 hours later I took the piece out of the pressure pot and container. It next had to sit for 72 hours, allowing the epoxy to fully cure. Next was the hard part, it had to be turned to a final shape, then sealed and polished.

It is 12" tall, 7" in diameter, and weighs 2 lb 4 oz.
